The Art of MEHDI

At MEHDI, craftsmanship is not decoration added at the end of a design. It is part of the structure, movement and identity of the garment from the beginning.

Across couture, bridal and occasion pieces, handwork is used to build depth and dimension through techniques such as Zardozi, Naqshi, Dabka, cut beads, sequins and layered embroidery. The density and placement of each element is considered in relation to silhouette, fabric and movement.

Made by Hand

Many MEHDI pieces are finished by skilled artisans using time-intensive techniques that create subtle variation from one garment to another. These differences are part of the character of handcrafted work rather than signs of mass production.

Material & Construction

Pure silks, chiffon, couture net, lace and specialty textiles are selected for the way they hold structure, drape and embellishment. Construction and surface work are developed together so that the finished piece has presence without losing movement.
